UFC 97 was this past weekend, with a great opener of Cantwell and Lius cane, a great brawl between Shogun Rua and Chuck Liddel ending in the 1st round, and a very uneventful 5 round snoozer main event. Not that great of a night of fights, but at least we all got to see the return of Shogun.

This Saturday night, UFC is heading to Canada for the second time in over a year. Headlining the event is Anderson Silva vs. Thales Lietes, which should be a great fight.. if Anderson Silva does not completely destroy off the bat. Another fight i'm really looking forward to is Shogun Rua vs. Chuck Liddel. Now this fight could either be Shogun gassing and getting his lights knocked out, or Shogun getting the submission or TKO. Hopefully the Shogun of old is back in form.
