Step Class (Lower Body)
A class with strenuous up and down motion, pushing on the feet and legs will for sure through time give you some problems. Just like many runners and heavy walkers have problems with Plantar Fasciitis; this is the same for people who attend Step Classes for many years. Many people have complained about Calf and Hamstring problems as well after years of attending. Ways to help this out is to rest and help the injury heal.
Shin splints are also another injury that may occur during Step Class. There are symptoms to look out for with shin splints like tenderness over the inside of the shin, lower leg pain, swelling at times, lumps and bumps over the bone, when bending the toes downward there is pain, and a redness over the inside of the shin. Rest and applying ice are a great way of helping you get back into action.
